Mindfulness·05: letting go of any preset hopes
Mindfulness · 05 Expectation
Mindfulness is an experiential practice. It asks you to bring your whole self into the process.
Your attitude is like the soil in which Mindfulness grows. Through practice, you cultivate an ability to calm the mind, relax the body, sharpen attention, and see things more clearly.
If that soil is poor—that is, if your commitment and engagement in the practice are weak—it will be hard to develop that sense of calm and relaxation.
